There are thousands of war academies in our world but very few places where you can learn peace. Human history is full of wars, destruction and catastrophes. In order to defend ourselves from these dangers we created a society based on separation, borders, armament and violence:
One against the other, and us against the environment. We have forgotten our original state of being; living in peace and harmony among ourselves with our neighbor and with the natural surrounding.
At least this is what we all desire. Today where violence spreads to a possibility of self destruction, where we have damaged our planet and polluted the natural resources, we came to understand that the continuation of our existence is in danger. We are conscious of the fact that we are all united; each one is inseparable from the other aswe are one with the earth, nature and our planet. As a one world every act has its impact elsewhere.
We understand that our right to exist is the right of the other. A just distribution of resources, stabilizing the ecological system, maintaining nature and the wild life, is the raison d'être of the human race. We have to learn anew that the best defense is not attacking the other, utilizing and eliminating him, out of fear and separation, but to support and strengthen the other, out of love and a sense of unity.
We feel a great need to establish a peace academy where we can learn how to reconstruct again peace and harmony in a wide section of our existence, that integrates every section of human interrelationship.
THE ACADEMY CONSISS OF FIVE FACULTIES
1. PEACE WITH NATURE - ECOLOGY
2. PEACE BETWEEN STATES AND NATIONS
3. PEACE BETWEEN SOCIETIES
4. PEACEFUL HUMAN RELATIONSHIPs
5. INNER PEACE
We find that the source of all peace studies is inner peace; therefore all subjects matter will be dealt with the inner peace as the basic peace to achieve. When the individual is with peace and harmony with himself, he can create peaceful relationship with all his surrounding throughout the section of his encounters, personal, social, national, and environmental. These departments will supplement studies and train professionals in various fields, ranging from therapists, psychologists, social workers, mediators, diplomats, ecologists, etc., while integrating a variety of components.
All subjects will be interrelated and connected. An ecologist will practice inner peace while a social worker will learn about keeping the planet clean. By understanding the wider concept of peace and harmony we can begin to establish these roots back again. The academy will conduct conferences, symposiums, workshops and retreats on related subjects. It will accommodate students for long-term studies as well as short courses.
